Recently, the druid and I had occasion to visit a friend who lives in a very rural town roughly an hour’s drive southwest of us While there, the druid and I reminisced on the topic of our former hometown, and how we shared the wish to someday live in a less populated area than we do currently A place very much like the one we were currently visiting.

Someone had left a perfectly useable bicycle, aside from its badly shredded rear tire, leaning against the dumpster, earlier in the week My hesitation was due to my current unemployed state, the practical thought that I wouldn’t be able to replace the tires for a time, and that I wasn’t sure I wanted to attempt to repair a bicycle of unknown lineage, rather than buy a used but professionally repaired bicycle from any of the bike rehabilitation places in the metro area.
