Car Modding
I don’t know what made me think of this just now but the memory made me smirk.
My dad loved to mod his vehicles.
On the truck, he installed a boat air horn. Sometimes he’d give it a toot when he passed a bicyclist who was not in the bike lane, was drifting over the shoulder line, or traveling in side-by-side clumps. Often the toot would blow out a fuse. Oh yeah, and the bicyclist would wobble.
On the car, he installed “fog lights”. At night when someone followed him too closely and then passed him, he’d turn those suckers on and blast the offending car. A few cars had been known to swerve due to him doing that.
It wasn’t exactly legal and my mom berated him whenever he did it, but my goodness was he amused.
Thankfully those cars are now gone and he’s apparently grown out of his need to try to kill other users of the road.
