State of Zan Address

(Taken from a friend on LJ.)

You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think, “Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when?” And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration. One-word answers seldom help anyone out.

NAME: Zan, Zannim.

AGE: 36

LOCATION: Portland, OR since 6/07.

OCCUPATION: Unemployed, looking half-heartedly since 10/08.

PARTNER: The druid, whom I’ve known/been with since 10/08.

KIDS: HA, no. Roommates include The Geek and the Gamer, along with my cat Bear and Gamer’s cat Yowl. All pseudonyms, if you didn’t know.

SIBLINGS: I had one sister, three years younger, Blondie, also a pseudonym. She passed away from cancer in early 08. Chosen-sis, who moved away earlier this year, is hard to reach.

PARENTS: Mom and Dad, still alive, still together. I don’t talk to them if at all possible. Mom’s toxic, dad does whatever mom says. Chosen-mom passed away 9/09.

PETS: Bear, chosen-mom’s pet, who came to live with me through chosen-sis a couple weeks after mom passed.

LIST THE 3-5 BIGGEST THINGS GOING ON IN YOUR LIFE:

1. The druid and I are still in our sickeningly fabulous relationship, a year later. It’s drama-free, very close, and very fulfilling. It’s the relationship I always wanted, with the man I always yearned to find. He feels exactly the same way.

2. I do minor webstuffs for food. My friend the dreamer is in the final days of getting his uncle’s website business into gear, nailing down final design changes and shipping in his inventory from overseas. Whenever the dreamer can afford to pay me, I do stuff. It’s an infrequent gig but it helps me contribute to the household’s food cache.

3. Um, not doing much else, nothing big on the radar. The cat has made it his life’s mission to sleep upon my chest, which is quite the feat considering I do tend to sit upright when I’m at the computer, the usual time he decides it’s about time to abruptly fling his 15 lb. self into my lap.

Otherwise, life is fairly ducky and very calm.
