Mini-Snowpocalypse

It doesn’t snow in the Pacific Northwest too often–the Pacific Ocean keeps things too warm to do anything but rain The city’s infrastructure is apparently not set up to deal with this, as roads were shut down, the transit system was defunct, and the snow plows and sanding trucks were nowhere to be seen. The snow has a peculiar reaction on residents here

Round-Up

(Hey, it was a slow year.) Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Did anyone close to you give birth? Did anyone close to you die? What countries did you visit? What was your biggest achievement of the year?

My Own Folk Tale

Spring and summer brought about his hibernation, you see, and it took a couple months for him to begin to become active in the evening. His path is well worn, and now with practiced precision, he prowls the night, his sheathed dagger in his worn leather belt resting against one thigh The hunter of the night begins to wander off

Materialism, do not want.

I’m angsting a bit (a bit?) about the car, I’ve taken it as a personal affront, and only now am I realizing how much I wanted/needed it, for the good of the household and heightening the prospects of me finding employment with it Yeah, there are other cars, and after a time, we could probably fix this one up, but we need a car NOW, and we need a car that works

Sledding

The National Weather Service made some mumble about snow the other week, and I was strangely rather looking forward to the measily inch or so it was forecasting Because I’ve been jonesing for the stuff, I thought I would wax moronic about one of my favorite things to do when there’s more than a foot of snow on the ground: sledding

More Important Things to Do

Things are piling up in my room. There’s a mountain of clothes to wash and put away, not recently dirty but a pile nonetheless. There’s a mountain of boxes in the corner I could be using for my bookshelf if there weren’t boxes there
